A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive an Influenster Vox Box with the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Liquid and Stick Foundations. I was ridiculously excited because this was my first Vox Box AND it was for a product that is extremely popular within the makeup world. I've seen Nikkietutorials use both of these on her YouTube channel and they looked absolutely FLAWLESS on her. I was a little worried though because I prefer foundations that are sheer to medium coverage and Nikkie is all for extremely full coverage. Also the color of the foundation made me nervous. When Influenster emailed the survey I had to choose between small swatches of foundation to see which would work best for me. One of my greatest foundation fears is that I will choose a shade that is much too light for my skin tone. While I have light skin I always think I am paler than I actually am. However, the shades I chose (liquid Y245, stick 120=Y245) were perfect matches.

First off, I love the packaging for this product. It feels high end compared to my typical foundation choices and it has a pump! Big deal, right? Right! Pump foundations are way easier to use because you can get the right amount of product every time. I have found with foundations like the Maybelline Fit Me line that the pouring bottle is messy and difficult to work with. In order to achieve a sheer to medium coverage I used a pump and a half of the product (don't forget to shake). Then I dipped the tip of my damp beauty sponge into the product and dotted all over my face. Typically I use the sponge to tap the foundation into my skin but I found that my Morphe M439 blended it out flawlessly. The foundation has a very lightweight, buildable coverage which is perfect if you're like me and prefer sheer to medium coverage. It also blurs my pores while also feeling like a natural second skin. I have oily/combo skin and this foundation left me matte but natural which is absolutely necessary when I look for a foundation. The only downside of this product is the price tag. I typically buy drugstore foundations and the MUF Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation costs a whopping $43. Will I buy it again? We shall see. But I do think that it is worth the price. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation

I had never tried a stick foundation before using this product. For some strange reason they always made me nervous. Again, the packaging is nice and high end. I like that the top is clear so that you can see the product inside just like you would a liquid foundation. When using this product I striped it all over my face (2 per cheek and once on forehead, nose, and chin) and then used my damp beauty blender to blend it out. You could also use a Morphe M439 but I found that the beauty blender worked nicely. While this product is certainly full coverage, I really like that it feels like a second skin and doesn't look fake or cakey. Just like the liquid formula, it leaves me looking flawless and airbrushed. While I was also scared it would feel vaseline-y and thick, it absolutely did not. This product is also listed at $43 which is still a little steep. However, I imagine this product lasting quite a long time. *For a limited time use code HDFOREVER to receive a deluxe sample with your $25 Sephora purchase* Click to purchase.
