ABOUT MAGNOLIA & WEST

It's about damn time, I know.

I've been told for years that I should create a blog and now I've finally done it. So why now? I'm in a sort of in between phase. I just moved back to the states after living in Germany for a year and let's just say my life needs a little bit of fun again. Thus the name, MAGNOLIA & WEST. I grew up at the intersection of those two streets and it completely describes where I am in life.

What will you discover on MAGNOLIA & WEST? To put it simply, you'll get a glimpse of my life and what makes me tick. I'll share my tips and trips, my successes and messes, and everything in between. Hopefully this won't be just your typical lifestyle blog. Hopefully it will serve as an inspiration for you to go explore France, try that dark, vampy lipstick you've been afraid of, eat some unique, Moroccan cuisine, or buy those boots you've been looking at for months.

I'm a southern girl from a small Kentucky town (Go Cats!) who has a deep love for all things travel, food, beauty, and fashion. I've lived abroad twice (Strasbourg, France and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany), I speak French fluently, and I consider myself a bit of a ceramic artist. I'm an ENFP (just like Carrie Bradshaw) with slight obsession with all things morbid and creepy (just like Wednesday Addams). Any given day you'll find me taking funky pictures, making millions of lists, watching scary movies, or cooking a huge, intricate meal.
